20/03/2010 · Welcome to the community. If you have Acrobat Pro, then you want to print to your Adobe PDF printer, not save as PDF. Click Help at the top-right, type “Creating a PDF” in the search box, and follow the instructions/settings provided in that entry for using Acrobat 8 (it works the same for 9).
